Aster oblongifolius - Fall Aster

Fall Aster is one of the last flowers to bloom in the fall, putting on a grand display of flowers when all of the others are finished. Beautiful 1" blue flowers with a yellow disk and a Texas Native. Aster oblongifolius has a tendency to lose it's lower leaves as it ages, however, giving it a trim when new growth appears will force the leaves down.

Hardiness Zones: USDA Zone 7 (0 °F) to USDA Zone 10 (30 °F)

Height: Grows 20” tall. Space 30-36” apart.

Exposure: Plant in Full Sun.

Bloom Time: Blooms Late Summer to Fall.

Water Requirements: Water 2-3 times per week until established.
Prefers a well-drained soil.
